Favorite things:
- Bok's Bees perfume: I've bought and replaced this little perfume oil several times throughout my adolescence and until now. The scent itself is good but the perfume's significance comes from the garden gift shop it was purchased from. I've visited Bok Tower Gardens probably 50 thousand times over my childhood, it became a place of very happy memories for my siblings and I.
- CD: My dad made this CD of songs for me, some that he's made and some that he sang to me as a child.
- Photo: This is a picture of my younger sister (my absolute favorite person ever). It was really hard to leave her when i moved out; I keep this picture in my wallet along with one of my brother and my best friend.
- Paint Brush: My grandmother was a painter and so am I; I never got to meet her but I use her old paint brushes and admire her pieces.
- Book: This was the first book I read that really resonated with me and got me into reading as a kid. I remember feeling lonely, picking it up and reading a couple chapters randomly. Its the kind of book you can read in one sitting and I often do. The imagery and themes in it still stick with me to this day.
- Chopstick wrapper fish: I grew up in a house that was in the middle of no where, you would have to drive about 15 minutes to get to your typical shopping plaza with McDonalds and such in it. The area has been more developed since but at the time the only near by take out place was this Chinese food restaurant. We knew the owners because of how much we went there. I would collect the fortunes from fortune cookies and the fish from the chopstick wrappers in a mason jar. Currently i use this fish as a little hidden theme in a lot of my paintings and doodles, it serves almost as a signature.
- Necklace: I got this necklace from an antique market in Perugia, Italy. It was my first time out of the country, I went with a high school group my senior year and i absolutely fell in love this city. The necklace is one of my most prized possessions.
